LATEST NEWS FROM THE WORLD OF STANLEY

Stanley reports an enjoyable year so far in 2007. He has appeared at 7 Festivals (including a new one at Southwell, Notts, on what must have been the only blazing hot weekend of the wettest summer in living memory), and gigs at places from Cornwall to Durham and lots in-between. New songs have tricked steadily from the Accrington quill as usual.

There was a lull in activity in the Spring, but that did include a holiday in Italy. These things happen.

2008 looks like being a good year for the Stanley too, with 7 Festivals already in the book (some to be confirmed).

Stanley Joins a Supergroup

Well, not that super, but he will be teaming up with long-time musical friends Chris "Doc" Harvey and Phil "The Whistle" Brown for some eccentric musical collaborations. Rehearsals are going well, if only for the landlord of the nearby hostelry, and the first appearance of the group (Doc Harvey and the Philistanz) will be at Lancaster on 26 January as support to Phil Cool and Ken Nicol. Watch this space .....

Meanwhile the long-running 60's group Melvin & the Volcanos (featuring Stanley on keyboard, rhythm guitar and getaway vehicle) continues to search for work. The band will be helping Stanley at pre-Christmas gigs at Uppermill and Rochdale.

Thanks to the fine work of someone who knows what he's doing (thanks Ken), the Website is actually being maintained. Future information will include all the tracks recorded to date. If you have any polite suggestions for the site, do let Stanley know (stanacc62@hotmail.com)
